Under the leadership of Dr. Ericka J. Whitaker, President, and CEO, The Whitaker Management Group brings a combined 25 years of leadership and management expertise. to both trade associations and human service organizations. From humble beginnings as the Executive Assistant to the CEO to currently serving as the CEO of one of the largest community action agencies in North Carolina, Dr. Whitaker has a vast amount of experience in nonprofit management, consulting, and leadership.
Dr. Whitaker’s professional portfolio includes her current appointment as the Chief Executive Officer of Southeastern Community Action Partnership, Inc. where she currently manages an annual $22 million budget, over 3,200 clients, and approximately 210 employees.
Previously, Dr. Whitaker served in leadership positions with the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG), the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA), the National Council on Patient Information and Education (NCPIE), The University of North Carolina at Pembroke, and Robeson Community College, where she led the first $1 million Capital & Naming Rights Campaign and managed the operating budget and endowments of their Foundation.
With a passion for teaching, Dr. Whitaker frequently serves as an Adjunct Management lecturer at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP), where she previously worked full-time as the Executive in Residence and Management Professor. Dr. Whitaker teaches core courses including Business Communications, Organizational Management & Leadership, Organization Management & Supervision, and Human Resource Management.
